Each Friday we will send out announcements and information of interest to the UUC Urbana-Champaign community. In case you are wondering what you might use enews for here are some ideas for submissions: -reminders about upcoming events or meetings of committees and groups -RE class news -a service auction "ticket" or seat that you won't be able to use -let people know about a spontaneous event (it's a beautiful weekend and you'd like a group to go hiking someplace, put the word out as to when and where people should meet up) -freecycling things-if you have things to give away, here's a place to offer them to others -if you're looking for something you think someone in the congregation might be able to help you with (i.e. you have relatives coming with a baby and you'd like to borrow a high chair) All submissions must be in by 9am Friday (admin@uuc-urbana.org) and are subject to the policies below. Thank you! Submission Requirements 1. All submissions must include the author’s name, phone number, and/or e-mail address and the date of submission. This information is necessary if the author needs to be contacted for information or clarification. 2. All submissions will be made via e-mail (admin@uuc-urbana.org). Handwritten or typed copies will only be accepted if computer access is unavailable. An effort will be made to include every submission for the deadline indicated. However, the Editor reserves the right to omit submissions due to space restrictions. The author will be notified if the item cannot be included. 3. Submissions must meet the 9am deadline on Fridays. Editing/Proofreading 1. The Editor reserves the right to edit announcements for grammar, clarity, and conciseness while maintaining the announcements’ integrity. 2. Items that the Editor perceives to be of questionable content, potentially inflammatory, or including personal references or attacks, will be discussed with a minister and the Board Chair (or designee) who will jointly decide on the appropriate course of action. Using Announcements
To post a message to all the list members, send email to announcements@uuc-urbana.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Announcements
Subscribe to Announcements by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
